Texas recently enacted the Driver's
Responsibility Program. This law created a point
system under which all moving violations are
assigned a point value. If your driving record
accumulates a certain number of points, your
license will be suspended.

It is important that you hire a lawyer or take
defensive driving to keep your record clear and
avoid yourself the expense of an occupational
licenses or surcharges of over $1,000 a year.

Although most offenses are "arrestable", most people
assume driving with a suspended license will only net
them a ticket. Driving with a suspended license will have
you arrested and your car likely towed.

DWLS is a class B misdemeanor in Texas just as
Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Intoxicated.
You can be fined $2000 and sentenced to 180 days in
county jail.

If you are charged with Driving with a Suspended/ Invalid
License, you should take these charges seriously and seek
the advise of an attorney.
