for San Antonio &

South Central Texas
The Bexar County District Attorney's Office has an
aggressive policy of collecting checks written on
insufficient funds and closed accounts.
Several times a year, the office will conduct "Warrant
Round-Ups" in conjunction with law enforcement. During
these Round-Ups, dozens and dozens of arrests are made
weekly due to warrants from "hot checks."

If you have outstanding checks, especially those valued at
$50 or more, you should contact an attorney and/or the
Bexar County District Attorney's Check Section
immediately.

Under the law, certain crimes are classified as "crimes of
moral turptitude". These particular offenses can be used
against you in court in attempts to discredit your
testimony. In short, these offenses may prevent you from
taking the stand in your own defense or the defense of
your loved ones.
Offenses that are classified as crimes of moral turptitude
include but are not limited to: burglary, forgery,
embezzlement, prostitution, shoplifting and theft by
check. It is no coincidence that employers place
considerable weight to these types of offenses in their
hiring decisions.
If you are charged with any classification of theft or
"crime of moral turptitude" you need to protect your
criminal history. Contact Me immediately so we can
discuss your options.
